Private Estate Wedding | Jordan and Amy

Jordan and Amy’s intimate wedding was nothing short of beautiful. They kept it simple and small, cherishing the evening with their closest family and friends. I loved how they chose to have a sunset wedding despite the chilly November weather! The wool blankets, warm greenhouses, and cozy fire were the perfect touches for this fall day! Their venue was the most unique of all, and I was so honored to photograph on this property! The rolling hills, stone cottages, styled interiors, and many greenhouses made me feel like we walked straight into a European home magazine. Everything about the property was perfectly styled and quaint, which I wouldn’t have expected anything less! The estate’s floral crew handled all the setup and decor for the wedding, using flowers and plants from the farm’s greenhouses. Jordan and Amy had their first look on a near by hill that overlooked the property and valley’s below. Their ceremony was beautiful, as was all the sweet words their friends and family shared during dinner. Intimate weddings are my absolute favorite. It is so easy to get caught up in wedding traditions and not even know why we do the things we do! When couples decide to strip their wedding down, focusing on their love story, the people gathered, and gorgeous scenery to lay as the backdrop, the day can not be more perfect. More weddings like these please. Thank you Jordan and Amy for letting us be a part of your intimate day!

Sarasota, Florida | Corey and Alyssa

This day. Such an dream! Not to mention Alyssa is a kick-butt photographer herself, so being the one to shoot her wedding was an honor! I first met Alyssa in Kona, Hawaii while training for a missions outreach, we then continued onto the Philippines together for 3 months! The memories that came from that time, and the friendships formed on outreach were rare and unique. I am so thankful for all those crazy times, and so thankful that Alyssa and I have kept in touch over the years! She flew here to visit a few years after our trip, then I went down to Sarasota to visit my grandparents and her, then she flew up a year later for our wedding, so naturally it was my turn to go back down! Meeting Corey and all their close friends was so special, the community they have formed down here is truly evident! So many genuine people in one place. Being in Florida during the cold months of PA was of course a bonus too! From the orange trees, to the golden sunlight, to the backyard parties and waterside rehearsal dinners, my heart was loving it. Their wedding day was a giant, laid back, backyard celebration at Corey’s dad’s house. This place was AMAZING with a whole plant nursery in the back and so many great trees to shade the lawn. I know the locals think that dead mossy stuff hanging from the trees is gross, but I was loving the whimsical look it gave! Their day was simple and beautiful, full of love and fellowship, a true representation of themselves! The best part haha, they originally weren’t planning to have dancing.. BUTT… you really can’t stop people now can you 😉

also.. check out that killer bonfire!
